By combining hands-on tool mastery across the spectrum - from development to data science, I pull together the necessary real-time decision support details to defend and assure programmes of work.

Governance

I treat documentation as a core engineering product, moving technical governance out of static silos and into Git-driven workflows using Sphinx and Markdown. By seamlessly converting complex data across Excel, Pandas, and Jupyter Notebooks, I deliver interactive, real-time presentations to diverse audiences. Whether rendering architecture blueprints through Confluence builders or maintaining source-of-truth repositories in Git, I ensure all stakeholders stay aligned through clear, automated communication.

Stakeholders

A confident public speaker and Open Source Special Interest Group (SIG) leader, I excel at driving industry collaboration and evaluating third-party technologies. I manage the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, from initial technical onboarding to coordinating complex design approvals with external partners. By balancing open-source flexibility with enterprise support models—such as HashiCorp or Grafana ecosystems—I seamlessly integrate external solutions into existing product mixes.

Business Value

I deliver measurable business value by driving high-impact architectural decisions and modern FinOps practices. My track record includes executing massive, end-of-life platform modernisations at NAB and spearheading strategic cost-saving shifts, such as deploying Grafana instead of expensive Splunk metrics and logging at CBA. Combining technical presales experience— including bid preparation with Bacula Inc — with an open-source-first approach, I eliminate restrictive licensing cost justifications while securing viable pathways to enterprise support.
